The Storrington Duck Race 2019 will begin with a famous and friendly face. That's right, author of the best selling book "The Gruffalo" will be starting the first race of the day. This race will commence at 12:00pm on Monday the 12th of May in the Storrington Library car park. Good luck to everyone entering!

The duck race includes 6 heats and the top 10 ducks from each heat will take part in the grand Final of The Storrington Duck Race 2019.
How does it work?
The Duck Race is a fun and enjoyable event for all the family, but how does it actually work? Well, when the big day arrives you and your friends would arrive at the car park, maybe browse the stalls, buy a hot dog or two and slap on the sun cream. Your friend might have already bought her duck in advance. But you have forgotten about getting it ready... No fear! You can buy the ducks at the race, so no need to worry about that one. When the first race begins, our brilliant celebrity guest will open the championships and the ducks will paddle away. under the bridge. You could follow them across the river, and maybe spot some of those sneaky ducks caught in the tree roots. If you'd rather not chase after them, you could find a nice spot to sit down with your family, and watch them float by your area. Or, you could always wait by the finish line and congratulate the children who have decided to shove on their Wellingtons and help push the ducks free if they get stuck.
As this year is the 21st anniversary of the grand Storrington Duck Race, they'll be plenty to look forward to, with lot's of prizes up for grabs. See you there!
