Just days after Christmas, storm Bella hit West Sussex, and left many fallen trees, bins and fences behind it. Among the many blocked roads across the country, lies the B2139 which was recently hit by a large fallen tree, but even in covid restrictions, residents still came together to help clear the road.

Refreshments (including mince pies, tea and coffee) were handed out throughout the process of clearing the road, and even though the aftereffects of the fallen tree are still clearly visible, the hard work put in by Storrington villagers helped move the tree. Thank you to everyone who helped to unblock the road, your spirit shows that even through a global pandemic, we can still all come together and help our communities.
