The New Bridge: A crowd funding campaign has helped to raise an incredible £2500 for a new bridge. It will link the recently added country park just off Water Lane to Sandgate Park and is expected to be installed this Summer. Auntie Val's is the successful Waitrose nominee: congratulations to Auntie Val's ability centre who have been voted in for the green tokens at Waitrose. They hope that you will show some support and help them raise money so they can employ more people for their kitchen. Auntie Val's only employs special needs or disabled Villagers (this group is known as 'The Jammy Dodgers' in their work because of the delicious ranges of jam they make in the kitchen) and provides them with all kinds of skills. Cooking, IT, admin and general industry skills with the hope it will prepare them for the future yet to come. The South Downs are fixed: after a large campaign to fix a much loved part of Britain, The South Downs has hit its target an unbelievable £120,000 to mend parts of the breath-taking 100 mile trail. This sum of money has only been raised because of Storrington's passionate fundraisers and thanks to them, we can now enjoy one of the countries favourite walking trails even more.
